Travel to Israel has never been more important!
We recognize that the situation in Israel is constantly changing and want to be transparent about how we are planning our upcoming trips. We hope that these FAQs help you to understand our approach.
Is it Safe to Visit Israel?
How will this trip be different than previous IsraelNow trips?
What if we can’t go to Israel?
How will I know what’s going on?
Is it safe to visit Israel?
- As of now, Israel is open for tourists and groups are visiting the country.
- We continue to monitor the situation, including US State Department guidance, the Israeli Ministry of Tourism, Airline policies, and our internal partners on the ground in Israel to get regular updates.
- Here are some of the Security measures we have in place: Cheder Motzav, security guards, JUF Director of Security.
How will this trip be different than previous IsraelNow trips?
- IsraelNow is constantly reviewing itineraries based on feedback from previous years, advancements in education best practices and the ever-changing tourism landscape in Israel.
- We plan to address the impact of Oct. 7 and the war on both Israel as well as on our participants in an age-appropriate way. We will expose our group to diverse narratives and experiences and equip them with the tools to engage with complex ideas.
What if we can’t go to Israel?
- As mentioned under “Is it safe to visit Israel,” IsraelNow is continually assessing the situation to determine if travel to Israel meets our safety and security guidelines. If it is safe to travel to Israel, we will do so!
- If it is determined to be unsafe for our group to travel, an alternative IsraelNow experience (similar to what was offered in 2024) will be offered to our participants. See here for more information about our 2024 IsraelNow experience in Northern California.
- IsraelNow will make a final decision about an Alternative Experience no later than Nov. 1.
How will I know what’s going on?
- We will remain in communication with all our IsraelNow families throughout the process
- We will keep you informed on the status and of any changes to our program
- If you want more information, please reach out to your local IsraelNow team.
